Lucknow,Kalka Mail derails in Uttar Pradesh- several passengers injured-Three passengers have been confirmed dead and nearly 100 have been injured as around 12 coaches of the Howrah-Kalka Express went off the rails near Malwa station in Fatehpur district of Uttar Pradesh on Sunday afternoon,an official said.Speaking to Times Now, Anil Saxena,chief PRO of railways,confirmed the deaths and said the toll may go up.

The chief PRO said that the help of Army and the NDRF had been sought for the relief and rescue operations.
More than 100 people are believed to be trapped inside the coaches and efforts are on to rescue them, said a railway official.
The train was bound for Kalka and was travelling at 105 km an hour when it went off the rails at Malwa station in Fatehpur district,about 150 km from here.

According to senior development operations manager of North Central Railways Pradeep Ojha: "A number of people are still trapped in the 14 coaches that jumped the rails as the train was about to touch Malwa station around 12.20pm today."
"Relief measures are on in full swing and people are engaged in cutting the AC coaches with gas welding machines to bring out survivors."
