Indonesia Must be Proud-Pencak Silat Sign Curriculum American University-Pencak silat is a martial art sport native to Indonesia should be preserved. Martial arts classes will be opened at the American University in the fall, around September. This class will take place from Monday to Thursday 8:55 to 10:10 pm local time each. The students who attend classes martial arts will not only learn martial arts moves,but also the culture of Indonesia.

Not surprisingly, the martial arts are closely with the culture of the country. Pencak Silat The word itself is a combination of two terms. "Pencak" of the Sundanese, or "Mancak" from the language of Madura and Bali, with "Silat", or "Silek" comonly used in Sumatra.

Martial arts class will train the physical aspects of the students, the application of martial arts, fight against each other,locking the opponent's stance, to the spiritual training. Materials provided will cover the basics of martial arts that is the basics of attack,survived,martial arts, and martial arts as an art.
American University campus parties wish, by following these classes students can learn basic self defense techniques and apply them in times of emergency.
